An old man lived alone in an Indian town. His only son was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son.
Dear Son, I am feeling pretty bad because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my potato garden this year.

Greedy Horseman
A long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then the emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.

Excellent Sculptor
A German once visited an Indian temple under construction where he saw a sculptor making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby.
Surprised, he asked the sculptor, “Do you need two statues of the same idol?”

The Story of a Butterfly
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared; he sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther.

A Rat Trap
A rat looked through a crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife opening a package. What food might it contain? He was aghast to discover that it was a rattrap. Retreating to the farmyard the rat proclaimed the warning; “There is a rat trap in the house, a rat trap in the house!”

Dad’s Eyes
A teenage boy lived alone with his father. The two of them had a very special relationship. Even though the son was always “warming the bench”, his father was always in the stands cheering.
He never missed a game. This young man was still the smallest of the class when he entered high school.
